‘Rory the Rabbit’ is a story of how hard it can be to feel different and how wonderful it is to realise that what makes you different also makes you special and loved.
The story is aimed at key stage 1 and lower key stage 2 pupils but the message is relevant for all age groups and is a helpful prompt for conversations around self-esteem, identity and inclusion.
There are four resources to accompany the story for readers to complete, and content covers Core Theme 2 of the PSHE curriculum for key stages 1 & 2 focusing on friendships and communities. The book and the 4 additional resources are supplied as PDFs in one zip file.
To obtain this pack, all we ask is a small donation of £4.99 to the organisation. 100% of the proceeds from this pack will be given to the More Than a Face organisation, encouraging children to see each other for who they are, and not just what they look like.
Welcome to More Than a Face. A project as part of Our Altered Life Ltd established to raise awareness of facial difference and promote understanding, acceptance, and inclusion! Read our ‘Who we are’ page to learn a little bit more about our journey and why the project was set up. We work with young people from key stage 2 upwards and have a range of programmes suitable for assemblies and workshops. The feedback following a school visit is always incredible. Please head to our testimonials page to read what staff and pupils have said. Many thanks for visiting our site. We hope to hear from you soon.
